NEW DELHI: India reported 6,378 new Covid-19 infections on Saturday, the highest single-day jump in cases so far. This was the fifth peak in daily cases in as many days, taking the country’s total coronavirus count to just short of the 1.3 lakh mark, barely five days after the caseload crossed 1 lakh.
India has so far reported 1,29,539 Covid cases, as per data from state governments. The day’s death toll was reported at 144, the seventh straight day when more than 130 people have succumbed to
