States such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan record significant increase in cases

In the past two weeks, 90,986 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in India. Four States – Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Gujarat – continued to record a large bulk (70%) of the cases.

But, in the recent weeks, there has been a significant uptick in cases in other States such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Karnataka. There has also been a noticable increase in deaths recorded in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
