Three-time DMK MLA, J. Anbazhagan, passed away on Wednesday, days after he evaluated positive for COVID-19 at a private hospital in Chennai, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami revealed on his Twitter account on Wednesday morning.
Anbazhagan was 61 and is the very first legislator to succumb to COVID-19 in the State.
