A report authored by a senior figure at an influential Chinese think-tank has connected the existing stress along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to India’s move last year to abrogate Short article 370 and alter the status of Jammu and Kashmir, a choice that China had voiced opposition to.
The article, for the very first time, described the move as a joint difficulty to China and Pakistan, stating the relocation had “presented a difficulty to the sovereignty of Pakistan and China”.
