MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. ( WJZY)- Despite a spike in cases of COVID-19, Mecklenburg County health authorities state we are not beginning a 2nd wave. Officials likewise say this might impede the state’s resuming slated for the end of the month.

Mecklenburg County Public Health Director Gibbie Harris thinks this is an extension of the first wave. We also spoke with Governor Roy Cooper Friday, who still has to choose whether the state can open under stage three later on this month.
