Hidalgo County confirmed more than 500 brand-new favorable cases and one death this weekend.
Hidalgo County Judge Richard F. Cortez announced the death of a Pharr female in her 60 s and 547 new positive cases in a news release Sunday.
” My prayers head out to the family and friends of this weekend’s victim– another terrible loss to this awful disease,” Cortez said. “As we begin a new work week, please bear in mind the security of yourselves and those around you. Stay home if possible, wear facial coverings and avoid other people.”
The brand-new verifications bring the county’s overall variety of reported cases to 5,345– though only 3,452 remain active– and an overall of 59 deaths.
The freshly infected variety in age from a baby to people in their 70 s, and come from the cities of Alamo, Alton, Donna, Edinburg, Hidalgo, McAllen, Mercedes, Objective, Pharr, San Juan and Weslaco; The locations of 42 cases were undisclosed and one was classified as “OOA.”
