Amazon has said an e-mail sent out to workers asking them to eliminate the video-sharing app TikTok from any mobile device that can access their business e-mail was sent out in mistake.
An internal memo sent out to personnel earlier on Friday had actually stated workers must delete the app over “security risks”.
The app, owned by a Chinese business, has come under scrutiny because of fears it could share information with China.
