The tech giant is understood for abandoning or restructuring particular gadgets, services, and apps that didn’t take off the way it hoped, but 2020 seems to be the year for it. And now Android Police reports that Google will be ceasing Nest Secure, its $400 house security system, by the end of the year.

That’s a pretty temporary run, considering the company launched Nest Secure in2017 Unlike other home security systems that need a service technician to set up, Nest Secure was simple enough for a user to set up themselves.
But the system itself was limiting. Its movement detector might only notice movement within a 10- foot radius.
