A case of shameful incident with a girl at a birthday party has come to light in Thane district of Maharashtra. The allegation is that a 22-year-old girl was given intoxicants and raped. Three people including a girl have been arrested in this case. Police is investigating the matter.
Giving information to PTI, a Thane police officer said that this incident took place on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Which was carried out in an apartment in Shirgaon area of Badlapur. Based on the complaint of the victim, the police have arrested the accused Santosh Shivram Rupavate (40), Shivam Sanjay Raje (23) and Aliska alias Bhumika Ravindra Meshram (20).
The police officer said that Aliska had invited the victim to her house for her birthday party and two other people were already present there. After the party, both the people started drinking alcohol in the bedroom. When the victim got up to leave, she complained of uneasiness. Due to this, Aliska made him drink lemon water.

According to the police officer, some intoxicant was allegedly mixed in that lemonade and after drinking it, the victim started feeling dizzy and fell into an unconscious state. Then one of the accused took the victim to the bathroom and raped her and then the girl became unconscious.
Now in this case, the police have registered a case against the accused under sections 64 (rape) and 123 (causing hurt by means of poison etc. with intent to commit crime) and other relevant provisions of the Indian Code of Justice (BNS). Police are investigating further.
