NEW DELHI: The country continued to reel as the number of positive cases of novel coronavirus surged to 727 on Friday. Various state governments and city administrations have declared a series of measures to stall the spread of the outbreak.

Here are the latest updates on the outbreak of virus from various cities and states of the country —

Delhi

325 schools will be used to provide free food to the homeless and needy people. We are feeding nearly 20,000 people daily, from tomorrow the government will be feeding 4 lakh people, according to chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. The state government has set-up a team of 5 doctors to work out a plan in case the number of coronavirus cases rises rapidly, said the CM. The flour mill will remain open during lockdown. Delhi government has urged establishments dealing in essential goods and services to function 24×7 to ensure steady supplies during the national lockdown.
