Delhi’s borders will be sealed in view of increasing coronavirus cases in the city, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced here on Monday.

” For one week, we are sealing the borders of Delhi for everyone except those providing essential services and those with legitimate passes,” Mr. Kejriwal said at a digital instruction.

The choice to continue with these constraints, however, would depend upon suggestions from residents, he included.

” Today I am here to ask for your guidance on a very essential concern: should Delhi’s borders be opened?” he asked.

” Coronavirus cases are rising quickly in the city; however, as I have said previously, it is a cause for issue, not panic,” Mr. Kejriwal stated.
