The laddus given to the devotees as Prasad in the Tirupati temple of Andhra Pradesh have been confirmed to contain animal fat, animal FAT and fish oil. In fact, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has alleged that in the previous government of YSR Congress Party, the laddus which were made for Prasad and Bhog in Tirupati temple, animal fat and their fat were used instead of ghee. Due to which the sanctity of the temple was violated and the faith of the people was also greatly violated.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has made these allegations on the basis of the test report, which was released on July 23 after the Lok Sabha elections this year. In this report, samples of laddus used for Prasad were examined. It was revealed that the ghee being used in these laddus is adulterated and may also contain fish oil, animal tallow and lard. Animal tallow refers to the fat present in animals. And lard was also mixed in it. Lard means animal fat and in the same report it has also been told that this ghee may also contain fish oil content and this is quite surprising.
Let us tell you that Tirupati temple is one of the largest temples of India, where every year about three crore Hindus come to visit and all these Hindu devotees are given laddus as Prasad. This entire system is operated by a committee, which is formed every two years by the state government of Andhra Pradesh. The name of this committee is Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and this committee buys all the ingredients for making Prasad laddus. Then these laddus are sold by the volunteers of this committee at pre-determined prices to the Hindu devotees visiting the Tirupati temple.

Even in this situation, traces of fat can reach the ghee.
It is alleged that when YSR Congress Party was in power in Andhra Pradesh and the Chief Minister was Jagan Mohan Reddy, then this committee used spoiled and adulterated ghee in the laddus of the temple prasad, which had a lot of adulteration. However, it is also written in this report that if the cow is sick, if vegetable oils and palm oil have been given to the cow, if chemicals have been given or if the cow is malnourished, then in such a situation false positive results can also occur and due to this the cow may die. Traces of animal fat and fat may be present in ghee.
Although TDP leader A.V. Reddy also alleges that when the price of cow ghee in the market is at least one thousand rupees per kilogram, then cow ghee was purchased at a price of only Rs 325 for making prasad laddus in Tirupati temple and deliberately the laddus of the temple were not sold. I used ghee which was adulterated and which was cheap.
People can’t believe it
In Hindu religion, Prasad is considered to be God and the literal meaning of Prasad is the physical appearance of God. It is said in Hindu scriptures that Prasad awakens the feeling of devotion to God and makes one realize the power of God and there is no greater blessing than Prasad. Whenever Prasad is given to people, they take great care of purity during this time and taking Prasad with dirty hands is considered an insult to God. But it is surprising that in this case, there was such a huge adulteration in the Prasad itself and such a huge betrayal of the people that many people probably would not even believe it.
YSR Congress called the allegations baseless
Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Telangana are those three states, where when people visit Tirupati temple and bring laddu prasad from there, then this prasad is distributed among the people of the village or area. People of other states also do the same. But after this revelation, there is a lot of anger among Hindu devotees and people are asking whether there could be some conspiracy behind this adulteration and how it happened that the temple committee did not know that the cheap ghee it was purchasing was , it may contain animal fat and their fat? However, the YSR Congress Party has termed these allegations as baseless and the former chairman of the temple committee has also claimed that adulterated ghee was never used in the laddus of Tirupati temple and all this is happening only because of politics.
The temple gets Rs 500 crore every year from laddus.
According to the information, Tirupati temple receives offerings and donations worth about three thousand crore rupees every year. Out of this, approximately Rs 500 to 600 crores are earned by selling the laddus as prasad, which are now being accused of being adulterated and it is a big thing that the laddus worth Rs 500 crores sold as prasad contain animal fat and sugar. They may have FAT and the former government will be considered more guilty for this because it was getting Rs 50 crore every year from this temple.
