There has been a change in the designation for clerical cadre in public sector banks. The existing designation of Clerk has been changed to “Customer Service Associate” (CSA) and this change in designation is effective from 01.04.2024.

IBPS Clerk Name Changed: Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has changed the name of Clerk post. IBPS Clerk Recruitment Examination will now be called Recruitment Examination for Customer Service Associate (IBPS CSA instead of IBPS Clerk).

The official notification reads, ‘As per the decision of the competent authority, the designation for clerical cadre in public sector banks has been changed. The existing designation of Clerk has been changed to “Customer Service Associate” (CSA) and this change in designation is effective from 01.04.2024. Subsequently, CRP CLERK-XIV was changed to CRP-CSA-XIV [ग्राहक सेवा सहयोगियों (CSA) की भर्ती के लिए सामान्य भर्ती प्रक्रिया] shall be understood and read as.

Apart from this, information has also been given in the notice that no change has been made in all other information in the notice of July 1, 2024. Rest of the information will remain the same. Let us tell you that IBPS had released the recruitment for 6,128 clerk posts (now CSA) on July 1, 2024. IBPS had released the result of Prelims exam on 1 October 2024. After this, the mains exam was conducted on 13 October 2024. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the website for more details.
