‘It has become a toxic platform…’, British newspaper boycotts Elon Musk’s

With the victory of Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections, Elon Musk has been given a big responsibility. But on the other hand, Guardian has boycotted their owned social media platform X.

The British newspaper The Guardian has refused to use X, accusing it of spreading hatred. The newspaper says that objectionable content including racism and conspiracy theories has increased on X.

Why did the Guardian leave X?

The Guardian has held Elon Musk responsible for spreading hatred on social media platform X. After the US presidential election, Guardian decided to drop X. In an article published on 13 November, the Guardian said that we feel that being on X is no longer useful. Negativity has increased here.

The newspaper said that X has now become a toxic platform. Now there is an abundance of toxic content here. We can find a better solution to promote our content. Elon Musk has used this platform to sharpen his political ideology.

Let us tell you that the Guardian was established in 1821. At that time its name was Manchester but in 1959 its name was changed to Guardian and its headquarters shifted to London. The Guardian’s official account on X has 10.8 million followers.
