To upgrade it’s nine year-old uplink and downlink policy for personal satellite TV channels, the Info and Broadcasting Ministry has released draft standards with strict arrangements for any infractions with an additional provision that the Ministry of House Affairs can step in to withdraw the security clearance in case of repeated offenses.

The Ministry stated an evaluation was prompted by the “fast developing broadcasting innovation” and “changes in the market circumstances”. It has required tips from the stakeholders in the next 15 days.
