There is terror of wolves in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh for the last few days. People of about 35 villages are in panic. So far, 10 people, including 9 children, have died in attacks by man-eating wolves. Many teams are engaged to catch wolves. But now the terror of wolves has become so severe that people are forced to flee.

2 families migrated to Punjab

So far, wolves have attacked 4 times in Sikandarpur Makka Purva village of Bahraich. A minor from this village has also died. Due to which there is now an atmosphere of fear in the village. Two families of this village have migrated to Punjab. Other people also say that they are living under the shadow of fear.

What did the people of this village say?

When Aaj Tak reached this village, Ramu Kumar, a resident of this village, said that he is in panic after the wolf attacks that started in the last few days. He told that a few days ago his house was also attacked by a wolf. But with the help of the villagers he was successful in driving away the wolf. But their child is badly injured in this wolf attack. Now Ramu has decided to leave Bahraich.

Ramu’s brother Ram Kumar told Aaj Tak that he was very upset due to the wolf attack. We tried to stop him but he left with the family. Brother said that due to fear of wolf, he had to leave his home and everything else and migrate to Punjab.

Reshma also has the same story

Similar is the story of Reshma’s family. Reshma’s house was also attacked by a wolf a month ago. She was sleeping in the courtyard with her two children. Then suddenly the wolf came into the village and attacked. Reshma also decided to leave the village. She went to Punjab with her husband.

There have been 4 wolf attacks in this village, one of which was on 45 year old Maya Devi. Maya cannot see, the wolf attacks her in the darkness of the night. Due to all such incidents, the villagers are scared and frightened and currently two families have left the village. The villagers told Aaj Tak that the whole village is troubled by wolves, if this continues then migration may also increase.

Appeal to people to keep doors closed

Officials have advised people to keep the doors of their homes closed. On the other hand, cages are being used by the Forest Department to rescue wolves. Efforts are being made to keep an eye on their every activity through drones and goats are being kept in cages, so that the wolf out of greed comes inside and gets trapped. Apart from this, traps are also being used for the rescue of wolves.

Villagers are in panic due to the terror of man-eating wolves. Even during the day, if they are going to the fields, they are carrying sticks with them. So that if wolves attack them, they can be saved.
