As he finishes 3 years at Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Ram Nath Kovind, like other heads of state, has had to modify the requirements of procedure and exposure to the new challenge posed by the COVID-19 pandemic that emphasises range and remoteness.

For weeks after the all India lockdown was announced, President Kovind’s household, consisting of first lady Savita Kovind, ready and sent across meals for 150 individuals every day from the personal cooking areas in their quarters to the neighboring Gurdwara Rakab Ganj to feed the indigent.
