Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei had warned Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah to avoid Israeli attack. He advised them to go to a safe place. After the death of Nasrallah, it is being said that the Supreme Leader is broken and is more worried after his death.

Sources close to Khamenei say that he has also lost trust in his government officials due to Israeli infiltration. It is also being said that immediately after the Israeli attack, he had instructed his officers to bring Nasrallah to Iran.

Israeli spies are present in Hezbollah

A senior Iranian official said that Khamenei had sent a message to Nasrallah that Israeli spies were present in Hezbollah and were planning to assassinate him. The messenger who delivered this message was Brigadier General Abbas Neelforoushan, who was in the same bunker where the Israeli bombardment took place and he also died.

Iran fired 200 missiles at Israel

After this, Ali Khamenei on Tuesday ordered to fire about 200 missiles at Israel. The attack was in retaliation for the deaths of Nasrallah and Neelforoushan. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards said in a statement that the move was also in response to the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran in July and Israeli attacks on Lebanon. However, Israel has not claimed responsibility for Haniyeh’s murder.

Concern about the safety of the Supreme Leader in Iran

Israel launched a “limited” ground offensive against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon on Tuesday. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Iran’s Foreign Ministry have not commented on this. With Nasrallah killed, Israel destroyed Hezbollah’s weapons sites, eliminated half of the organization’s members and destroyed its top military command. After the killing of Hezbollah Chief in Lebanon, concerns about the safety of the Supreme Leader have increased in Iran.
