On the other hand, regarding the FIR case related to Waqf in Sambhal, Police Captain KK Bishnoi said that documents were handed over by the delegation and a three-member inquiry committee was constituted by the DM. This case has been registered in connection with fake documents.
In fact, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi alleged that the police post near Shahi Jama Masjid is being constructed on Waqf land, although the District Magistrate (DM) refuted the allegations. Called it the property of the municipality.
Owaisi said in a post on ‘X’ that the police post being built near Jama Masjid in Sambhal is on Waqf land as per records. Additionally, construction work is prohibited near monuments protected under the Ancient Monuments Act. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are responsible for creating this environment in Sambhal.
Attaching some alleged documents, the AIMIM leader wrote, “This is Waqf No. 39-A, Moradabad.” This is the deed of land on which the police post is being constructed. The Uttar Pradesh government has no respect for the law.
Sambhal District Magistrate (DM) Rajendra Pensia said that no certified and legal party has come to us regarding the documents that have come to light so far in connection with the construction of the police post.
The DM said, “The documents that came were examined and they are unregistered documents.” The investigation is still going on. If any person comes with solid documents, action will be taken as per rules.
On the question of journalists whether this land is government or someone else’s? DM Pensia said that it is registered as municipal property, which has been given to build a police post.
The DM said that the post will work under Sambhal police station and it was planned in view of the violence that took place on November 24 last.
