Russia launched a major attack with missiles and drones targeting Ukraine’s capital Kiev. Many residential buildings and schools have suffered heavy damage in this air strike. There is also news of death of 4 people in this attack.
Several loud explosions were heard one after the other in Kiev at around 1 am (early morning Indian time) on the intervening night of Saturday-Sunday. Just before these blasts, the Ukrainian Air Force had issued a warning on its Telegram channel. The Air Force had said that Russia could launch its extremely dangerous ‘Orashnik’ intermediate-range ballistic missile against them.
According to the Mayor of Kiev, relief and rescue work is being carried out rapidly in the affected areas. Rescue teams are deployed to remove the debris and help the injured people. After the attack, air defense systems have been put on high alert throughout Ukraine.

Russia fired its deadliest missiles at Ukraine
The Russian Defense Ministry has issued a statement saying that the Russian Army has used its most lethal missiles on Ukraine – ‘Orashnik’, ‘Iskander’, ‘Kinzhal’ and hypersonic ‘Zircon’ missiles. According to Russian media reports, these air strikes have been mainly targeting Ukraine’s military command centers, air force bases and arms manufacturing factories. Canadian Prime Minister Carney condemned
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has reacted to this attack targeting residential areas and schools of Kiev. “Canada strongly condemns Russia’s massive missile and drone attacks on civilian targets in Kiev tonight,” he said. We demand that Russia immediately stop these attacks and end this illegal aggressive war forever.
