Actually, an underpass is built under the Civil Lines area of the district police station. It has been facing the problem of waterlogging for years. In the heavy rain that happened yesterday, 5-6 feet of water filled up in this underpass. Then first a roadways bus came and got stuck in the water and stopped. After this, a luxury car and a Bolero also got stuck in the rain water. There were more than three dozen passengers in the bus. At the same time, people were also sitting in the car and the Bolero.
It is being told that when the people trapped in the water did not get any help for a long time, they themselves got down from the bus risking their lives. Then one by one they came out wading through water up to their waist. Later, with the help of JCB, the roadways bus, luxury car and Bolero were pulled out.

Car owner Sharad Kumar said that three of us were coming towards the city from ITI crossing. Then our car got stuck in the water. Even after half an hour, there was no help from the administration. JCB came after a long time. On the other hand, Roadways bus driver Rishabh Verma said that our roadways bus is stuck, it has been one and a half hours, still no help has been received from the municipality. I saw that a four wheeler was moving ahead in the water, so I also moved the bus forward but it stopped. The self got damaged in the water while starting it.
On the other hand, Nagar Palika supervisor Vishwajeet said that there is 3 feet of water inside the underpass. The JCB machine arrived within 20 minutes. The water in the underpass will be removed from here after 1 hour. Barricades have been placed on both sides of the bridge but still people do not listen.
