In a media release posted Saturday, the OPP said officers from the Lanark County detachment and members of the Mississippi Mills Fire Department had found the deceased individual in the vehicle after responding to a blaze in a wooded area off Ramsay Concession 12 at about 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 11.

The investigation is being conducted by the Lanark County Detachment Crime Unit in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, the release said.
