At 23, and after five seasons, he’s as accomplished as any midfielder we’ve seen over that period in the national competition, and on track to surpass nearly everyone who isn’t a key-position player.
His impact on the outcome of games is up there with any player since his prodigiously gifted father Peter was testing footy physics.
It’s hard to compare Nick to Wayne Carey, Gary Ablett snr or Tony Lockett, but he’s certainly in the company of Gary Ablett jnr and Chris Judd. At the same age, he’s more impactful.
