A teenager has been charged over the alleged stabbing of a 17-year-old boy who staggered from a Sydney park and collapsed at a stranger’s front door seeking help.
Police allege the victim was stabbed inside a public amenities block at Beaman Park in Earlwood on the evening of September 18 before fleeing the scene with serious injuries.
About 5.45pm, emergency services were called to Flinders Rd following reports of an assault.

Officers arrived to find the boy suffering stab wounds to his upper body.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated him at the scene before he was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police established a crime scene at the park’s public toilet block and launched an investigation.
A week later, detectives arrested a 17-year-old boy at Burwood Police Station.
He has been charged with cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder.
The boy was refused bail and is due to appear before a children’s court on Saturday.

“He was covered in blood and we couldn’t really see where it was coming from,” she said.
“He was so scared. I just wanted to calm him down and make sure he knew he was safe now.”
The boy had suffered wounds to his neck, back and shoulder and was believed to have run from the nearby park before collapsing outside the home.
“It’ll probably hit us in the next couple of days,” Julie said.
“It’s not something you ever imagine seeing in your life.”
