1. The Simpsons Movie sequel gets new title
Disney’s D23: The title poster for The New Simpsons Movie
A sequel to The Simpsons Movie (2008) was announced in 2025, with the working title of The Simpsons 2. Now it has been confirmed that the upcoming film is titled The New Simpsons Movie . According to various sources, a few minutes of footage shown at D23 features Homer Simpson causing chaos at a baseball game. The upcoming film is set to release in theatres in September 2027.
2. An anime series based on Kingdom Hearts is in development

Based on the fantasy adventure game, a new series titled Kingdom Hearts – The Series has been announced. While further details on the series hasn’t been revealed, the first poster shows the video game’s protagonist Sora with his sword.
