The Philadelphia Eagles’ roster is down to the 53-player limit after Sunday’s cuts deadline, but Howie Roseman is not one to sit down and call it a day.
Teams had until Sunday at 6:00 PM Eastern to make their roster cuts. At 1:00 PM on Monday, August 31, any claims for players on the waiver wire will be revealed. The Eagles are No. 23 in the claiming order, so there’s quite a few teams that would have to pass on anyone Roseman might be interested in. Still, after players are claimed, teams can then fill their 16-man practice squads.

All times Eastern.
[8:02 PM]: The Eagles are signing former Cowboys RB Jaydon Blue, according to Adam Schefter.
[3:39 PM]: The Eagles have formally announced 13 players who have signed to the practice squad, which leaves them four additional spots to fill — with either Bernard or Wero counting as the extra IPP spot.
[2:26 PM]: The Eagles are bringing back DT Gabe Hall to the practice squad, and signing OT OT Kiran Amegadjie, according to Jeremy Fowler.
[2:22 PM]: Safety Andre’ Sam cleared waivers which means he reverts back to the Eagles injured reserve list and will miss the 2026 season.
[2:09 PM]: It looks like at one of the team’s International Pathway Program players will be staying in Philly, with Ryan Fowler reporting that DT Uar Bernard plans to sign with the Eagles practice squad. The team does get one extra practice squad spot to accommodate an IPP player.
[1:57 PM]: With a shorter window between the roster cut deadline and the waiver wire deadline, we didn’t get as many leaks about plans to fill the practice squad. We’ve now learned, however that the Eagles didn’t get anyone from the waiver wire, and ended up having four of their guys claimed — none of them were named Uar Bernard or Joshua Weru, though.
[11:15 AM]: If OT John Ojukwo clears waivers, he intends to sign back in Philly to the Eagles’ practice squad, according to Eagles beat writer Cayden Steele.
[11:01 AM]: The first player reportedly ready to sign with the Eagles practice squad is running back Dameon Pierce, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler. Pierce made a strong case for a roster spot, so having him back really solidifies the RB depth.
