Musk initially said the objective of Neuralink was to produce a BCI so that humans would not lose their one-upmanship to AI. The huge concept here is that keyboards and other peripherals aren’t as efficient as a direct thought-to-action user interface. So, with a BCI, you might just believe something such as “I wish to watch Tiger King” and your phone would simply start playing Tiger King on Netflix.
