The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the proposal to rename Aurangabad metropolis as Sambhaji Nagar and Osmanabad as Dharashiv. The choice comes amid possibility to the MVA executive following an elevate up by Eknath Shinde-led neighborhood.

The demand became made at some level of the Cabinet assembly chaired by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday. Maharashtra transport Minister Anil Parab of the Shiv Sena stated he demanded that Aurangabad metropolis in central Maharashtra be renamed as Sambhaji Nagar.

Earlier this month, CM Uddhav Thackeray had stated that he’ll fulfill the promise made by Balasaheb and can rename Aurangabad as Sambhaji Nagar.

Addressing a rally in Aurangabad on June 8, Uddhav Thackeray stated, “Hindutva is in our every breath… Telling lies is no longer our Hindutva, right here is no longer what Balasaheb Thackeray taught us…Balasaheb Thackeray had launched that Aurangabad would be renamed Sambhaji Nagar and I will fulfill this promise.”
