A elderly man has admitted to getting behind the wheel of a car after being disqualified from driving until 2117.

Garry William Nipperess, 73, was busted driving a silver Subaru along William Street in Bathurst, in NSW’s west, about 9.15am on Sunday by police officers conducting patrols.

He was given a random breath test, which tested negative, but further police checks revealed he had been disqualified from driving for the next 92 years.

His car was confiscated and he was charged with driving while disqualified.

Nipperess faced Bathurst Local Court on Monday, where he pleaded guilty.

He will be sentenced at a later date.

7News can reveal that Nipperess was only released from prison eight months ago for the same offence.

In November 2023, he was sentenced to ten months in prison, with a non-parole of seven months, after being caught driving while disqualified.

He was released from prison on July 22, 2024.

Between 2015 and 2018, Nippress was jailed every year for various months-long stints after being caught driving while disqualified.

The five separate prison terms ranged in duration from six to twelve months.

He was also sentenced to two years in prison in 2012 after being caught drink driving.

At the time of the offence, he was banned from driving until 2058 – with the additional drink driving charge earning him an additional two years off the road.

In the past 13 years, he has continued to rack up a further 32 year extension.

Nipperess was refused bail and is due to be sentenced on April 22.
