Resolving an election rally in the Bhanupratappur assembly constituency in Kanker district, Mr. Gandhi asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi raises ‘OBC’ (other backwards class) in his speeches, then why he is terrified of a caste census. Caste census will be performed in the nation if the Congress is voted to power (at the Centre), he stated. Bhanupratappur is amongst the 20 constituencies that will see ballot on November 7 in the very first stage of the Chhattisgarh elections. The 2nd stage will be hung on November 17. “We are going to take a significant action for you which we call ‘KG to PG’. From KG (kindergarten) to PG (post-graduation), totally free education will be offered in federal government organizations to trainees (if Congress keeps power in state). They will not need to pay a single cent,” Mr. Gandhi stated.
