Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews states it is only a matter of time prior to schools close across the state and big sporting and cultural events are cancelled to combat the spread of coronavirus.
Bottom line:
- The new procedures would be introduced when there was a significant number of neighborhood transmissions of the virus
- There are now 18 cases in Victoria including three brand-new cases confirmed today
- Seven health centers are now checking for coronavirus and Carey Baptist Grammar will be closed for the remainder of the week
While the Premier said the State Government had no immediate plans to cancel football matches or the Grand Prix, he said “severe procedures” would likely need to be taken in the future, when there is a significant number of transmissions of the disease within Victoria.
” Part of that strategy is the inevitability that we will get to the point that rather than one
