NEW DELHI: The five-member collegium headed by CJI Chandrachud Tuesday advised to the Centre to designate Andhra HC chief justice Prashant Kumar Mishra and senior supporter KV Viswanathan as judges of the peak court. If his name is cleared, Viswanathan will remain in line to be successful Justice JB Pardiwala as the CJI on August 12, 2030, and will have a nine-month period in the leading post. Justice Mishra’s visit will guarantee Chhattisgarh’s very first representation in SC, almost 23 years after the state originated.
