The Udaipur incident has shocked the entire country. A student studying in class 10th was attacked with a knife by another student studying in the same school. After the incident, the atmosphere of the city deteriorated and arson and vandalism started happening at many places. The miscreants set many cars on fire. In view of the situation, the police has imposed Section 144 and internet service has also been shut down till 10 pm on Saturday night. The administration has issued orders to keep all (private and government) schools and colleges closed till further orders.

Action will be taken against those who disobey the instructions

The order to keep schools and colleges closed states, ‘Holiday is declared in all government/non-government schools from class 1 to 12th and in all government/non-government colleges from 17.08.2024 till further orders.’ The order states that action will be taken as per rules against schools/colleges violating the instructions.

Injured student’s condition is critical

The incident took place at Government Higher Secondary School located at Bhattiani Chauhatta in Surajpol police station area of ​​the city. It is said that the condition of the student injured in the attack is very critical and he has been shifted to the ICU. A team of doctors is constantly monitoring him.

There is tension in Udaipur after the incident. Police force has been deployed at various places to prevent any kind of violence. The District Collector who reached the spot on Friday appealed to the people to maintain peace. According to the information, there was a fight between the two students over something.

After this, a student from a particular community attacked another student with a knife and injured him. After the news of the injured child came to light, a large number of people from Hindu organizations gathered and started creating a ruckus. The reason for the fight has not been clear yet.

It is being told that a large number of people from Hindu organizations have gathered in the hospital and are demanding strict action. Additional SP Umesh Ojha said that the police is investigating the matter in depth. Initial investigation reveals that there is an old rivalry between the two.

Some vehicles were also set on fire in Ashwini Bazaar. Rioters set vehicles on fire in about half a dozen areas of Udaipur. Police used mild force to disperse the crowd.
