Telangana MLA T Raja Singh has been banned for three months from entering a district in Karnataka. Actually, Raja Singh was going to Mudhol town of Bagalkot district to participate in the Ganesh immersion program. But even before this, the authorities have banned him from entering the district for three months, citing possible disturbances in law and order. According to officials, the route of the Ganesh Visarjan procession passes through a mosque and Raja Singh’s history of inflammatory speeches is a matter of concern. Due to this, notice was given to him at his residence in Telangana.
In the notice issued by the Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, it has been said that on September 19, Ganesh immersion procession will be taken out in Mudhol. There is a mosque in the public plot along the route through which the procession will pass, which is a highly sensitive area. About 10,000 to 15,000 Hindu volunteers from Mudhol city and rural areas will gather in this immersion procession. Raja Singh from Hyderabad (Telangana) is coming to Mudhol to participate in the procession and he is the main speaker of the program.
It is further said that Mudhol city is a very sensitive city from the point of view of communal riots. Earlier, a total of 28 cases were registered at Mudhol Police Station in connection with the communal riots that took place during Ganesh Visarjan at Mudhol on 23.09.2015, in which property worth Rs 9,46.22,410/- was burnt and damaged. The cases registered against both Hindu and Muslim communities are still pending in the court. The same hatred filled atmosphere as before is still prevalent in both the communities in Mudhol city.
