Not a possibility. In the past, many types of irregularities have come to notice in far-flung examination centres, due to which the future of eligible students becomes uncertain. To eliminate this and to conduct the entire examination on the basis of merit, these centers have been removed.
The Commission further said that the intention of the Government and the Commission is to protect the interests of the students and ensure selection on the basis of merit. The selection process has been completely transparent and keeping in mind the interests of the students. The same procedure is also followed by other prestigious commissions and institutions of the country. Keeping in view the importance of ensuring the purity of the examination, the Commission took the decision to conduct the examination in two shifts only on the request of the candidates. Arrangements have been made to ensure that candidates do not have to travel far to appear for the exam. Some unruly elements, illegal coaching institutes and cheating mafia are trying to mislead the competitive students by giving them false/misleading information.
