Two Liverpool stars attracting interest from Saudi Arabia

Premier League champions Liverpool will hope to return to winning ways on Sunday when they face second-placed Arsenal.

The Reds were beaten 3-1 by Champions League-chasing Chelsea in their last outing, and head coach Arne Slot will be desperate to see his side improve when they face the Gunners next time out.

Away from the action, this summer could be a busy one at Anfield with plenty of potential incomings and outgoings.

Now, it has emerged that two of Liverpool’s forwards are attracting interest from Saudi clubs.

According to CaughtOffside, Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal are interested in both Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

The report claims that Nunez, who is the Reds’ record signing, is set to be put up for sale this summer with the Merseyside outfit prepared to sell him for around £67 million.

Nunez and Diaz have both emerged as targets for Saudi side Al Hilal

The Uruguay forward has struggled since arriving in England from Benfica, netting just 40 times in 140 games for the Merseyside club across all competitions.

Both Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid are also said to be interested in the Uruguayan international, however his price tag would have to drop for either side to be able to afford to sign him.

Diaz, meanwhile, joined Liverpool from Portuguese side Porto in 2022 and has since played 145 times for the Reds across all competitions, scoring 40 goals and providing 23 assists.

The forward has been particularly impressive this season, scoring 16 times across all competitions including 12 in the Premier League as Slot’s side cruised to the title.

He is under contract until the end of the 2026/27 season, but the report claims that those in charge of the club could opt to sell him this summer if an offer in the region of £67 million is tabled.

Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have both been linked with the Colombia international in the past.
