In a significant development in the murder case of Berhampur businessman Sudhir Patra, local police approached the JMFC Rural Court in Ganjam district seeking a two-day remand of four accused persons on Wednesday for further questioning. However, the court granted a day’s remand to the police.

Police officials had earlier filed a formal application in the court requesting custody of all four individuals to intensify the investigation into the murder case.
