A shocking case has come to light from Jhansi district of Uttar Pradesh, where a dispute between two parties turned into a violent clash in a temple complex famous for worship and religious activities. The video of the fight that took place in Shri Jharna Pati Dham temple located in the city Kotwali area is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, a woman is seen holding another woman by her hair and throwing her on the ground and beating her.
According to the information, the incident is said to have happened on Saturday evening. Temple Trust President and BJP Mahila Morcha District Minister Kavita Sharma was regularly reciting Shivpuran in the temple premises. Meanwhile, Poonam Rawat, wife of temple priest Balveer Rawat, reached there with her family. After this a dispute started between the two parties.

Kavita Sharma alleges that during the dispute, Poonam Rawat tried to attack her with a heavy stone or brick. According to eyewitness Mamta Chaurasia, she tried to stop the alleged attack by intervening, due to which the stone hit the steel donation box kept nearby. It is being told that the collision was so strong that the donation box got damaged.
It is alleged that even after this the dispute did not stop and the altercation between the two parties turned into a fight. According to the complaint, she was also attacked with buckets, due to which the victim suffered injuries. During the incident, an atmosphere of panic was created among the devotees and children present in the temple premises.

Kavita Sharma has alleged that instead of stopping the dispute, temple priest Balveer Rawat made a video of the entire incident on his mobile phone. He claims that all this was done with the intention of scaring him and pressurizing him.
It is being told that behind this entire controversy there was tension going on for a long time regarding the management and financial control of the temple. The Trust President’s side alleges that after the formation of the Trust in the temple, a new donation box was set up to organize the arrangements and organize religious events. The priest’s side was angry about this.
Complainants say that there have been long standing differences between the two parties regarding the use of temple property, offerings and resources. It is alleged that this incident happened due to this dispute.
‘Police reached the spot as soon as the information was received’
As soon as information about the incident was received, dial 112 and city police station reached the spot. Police controlled the situation and collected information from both the sides. Victim Kavita Sharma has given a written complaint in the city police station and demanded action against Poonam Rawat and Balveer Rawat.
Taking cognizance of the complaint and the viral video, the police have registered a case and started investigation. Officials say that further legal action will be taken after examining the video and other evidence.
