Health authorities state a man in Hobart who contracted coronavirus did not follow instructions to self-isolate, instead going to work at a major hotel and checking out a bar and a restaurant.

Key points:

  • The new case is a 20- year-old guy who travelled from Nepal
  • Health authorities say the student did not self-isolate as asked for and went to his college and work environment

The man in his 20 s travelled from Nepal and transited through Singapore and Sydney prior to getting here in Hobart on February 26, Tasmania’s director of Public Health Providers Mark Veitch stated.

He experienced cold-like signs the day after his travels however continued to work and visit his employment college.

The guy worked seven shifts at Hobart’s Grand Chancellor Hotel and the hotel’s Restaurant Tasman.

He worked as a food and drink attendant on February 29 and March 1 in between 5: 00 pm and 11: 00 pm.
