President Trump has invoked a Korean War-era law to require that United States companies offer more masks.
Andreas Geisel, Berlin’s interior minister, said the masks were most likely diverted to the United States.
The US company that makes the masks, 3M, has been prohibited from exporting its medical products to other countries under a Korean-War-era law conjured up by President Donald Trump.
On Friday, Mr Trump stated he was utilizing the Defence Production Act to demand that United States companies supply more medical products to meet domestic demand.
