NEW DELHI: From 10am on Thursday, the railways will start online booking of tickets for 200 trains (100 pairs) which will start running daily from June 1 from major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Patna, Jaipur, Varanasi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Secunderabad and Thiruvananthapuram. These trains will have a mix of both AC and non-AC coaches, barring the five Duronto Express trains which will have only non-AC coaches.
While 34 trains will start daily from four stations of Delhi except Old Delhi, over a dozen will depart from Mumbai and 11 from Howrah and Sealdah. While a maximum of 24 pairs of these trains will start or terminate in Bihar, 16 pairs will originate or terminate in Uttar Pradesh.
The special trains will be run on the pattern of regular trains like Purushottam Express,
