Oil companies had on Sunday raised prices by 60 paisa per litre on both gas and diesel after ending a 83- day hiatus in day-to-day rate revision.

Petrol and diesel rates were hiked by 60 paisa per litre on Monday, for the second day in a row, as state-owned oil firms reverted to daily rate revisions after a 83- day hiatus.

Fuel rate in Delhi was hiked to7246 per litre from7186 on Sunday, while diesel rates were increased to 70.59 a litre from6999, according to a rate notice of state oil marketing business.

This is the second day-to-day boost in rates in a row. Oil companies had on Sunday raised prices by 60 paisa per litre on both fuel and diesel after ending a 83- day hiatus in everyday rate revision.
