Cops are not presently dealing with the occurrence as terror-related, but counter terrorism officers were called.

One eyewitness informed the BBC how he saw a man move between groups of people in the park attempting to stab them and how the man ran towards him.

Investigator Chief Superintendent Ian Hunter, from Thames Valley Police, stated authorities are not trying to find any other people in connection with the attack.

He added: “This is not presently being dealt with as a terrorism occurrence, nevertheless officers are keeping an open mind as to the inspiration for the incident and are being supported by coworkers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East.”

Police have asked anyone with cellphone video footage of the attack to come forward.

However people have actually been urged not to share videos and pictures online “out of respect for the victims’ families” after footage was distributed on social media.

Thames Valley Cops said the incident was not connected to an earlier Black Lives Matter (BLM) demonstration in the park.
