In a case of female infanticide, a 31- day-old child lady was apparently killed by her parents and grandpa on Monday night in a town near Usilampatti in Madurai district.
Chekkanoorani cops on Thursday arrested moms and dads S. Vairamurugan, 37, and Sowmya, 22, and paternal grandfather S. Singam, 67, under various areas of the Indian Penal Code for murder, criminal conspiracy and damaging evidence. Following a tip-off about the missing out on infant, the cops had gone in search of the moms and dads, but they were absconding, Usilampatti Deputy Superintendent of Authorities A. Raja said. However, the cops handled to trace them.
