The Financing Ministry is set up to make a detailed presentation to the Prime Minister later in the day on the state of economy and a number of initiatives that it prepares to carry out to stimulate Indian economy.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held a series of meetings with crucial Ministers, including House Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and officials of financial ministries to firm up the 2nd stimulus bundle for sectors impacted by lockdown to curb spread of coronavirus, sources stated.
The Prime Minister held conversations with Mr. Shah and Ms. Sitharaman and would have follow up conferences with ministers of key financial ministries such as Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), sources stated.
