Earlier this Saturday, we reported about the passing of Ajith Kumar’s mother, Mohini Mani. She passed away because of age-related illnesses. She was 89 years old at the time of death. Many in Tamil Nadu, including Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, actor Kamal Haasan, and former CM MK Stalin, mourned her death and conveyed their condolences to her survivors.
Now, hours after the event, Ajith Kumar has reached Chennai for his mother’s final rites. Videos of Ajith entering the Chennai Airport are circulating online. In some of the videos, the actor can be seen surrounded by cameras as he tries to get into his car.
Ajith has not spoken much about the relationship he shared with his mother publicly, partly because he does not give interviews that often. The actor’s love and respect for her reflect more in his non-profit endeavours. Notably, the actor has established a charitable organisation named after his mother, Mohini Mani Foundation, thus paying tribute to her. Reportedly, the organisation has funded many initiatives related to civic consciousness, urban welfare, and public health.
