In 2026 it is really difficult to buy a bad TV.
But if you want the best one, I might have just found it. I recently got the chance to spend time with Samsung’s flagship OLED the S95H and I have to say — I was very impressed.
On sale right now for $4799, it’s a splurge buy, but it’s worth it for anyone who is looking for a TV that is on the cutting edge of tech.

If you’re thinking of investing in the best, here’s everything you need to know.
The Setup Next to a window I had the S95H setup on the wall paired with the Q990H Soundbar. I’ve always been particularly impressed with how Samsung does their glare reduction so I turned on all the lights and pointed a lamp straight at the screen.
I pulled up Rogue One because aside from being one of my favourite Star Wars movies, I know it has a lot of dark scenes as well as a really interesting sound design.

And normally when I see these fluffy marketing terms I roll my eyes a little but seriously the blacks on this TV are very good, and the colour is exceptional.
The details in the dark sections of the picture is really impressive, and there is no real haloing where bright colours meet the edges of the void of space. Skin tones look great and the vibrancy for more colourful moments was on point.
I honestly can’t speak highly enough about Samsung’s glare free technology though. I had every light on in the place and a lamp pointing straight at the screen and the glare was so little that you really had to focus to find it.
In a country where we have big windows and living spaces filled with natural light, having a TV that doesn’t just reduce glare but seems to omit it entirely feels like magic.
The Samsung S95H has a beautiful display. Credit: Sonny Loudon/7You The Sound Samsung’s latest line of TVs when partnered with their soundbars and speakers give the option to use “Q-Symphony”.
The in-built speakers on modern TVs have come a long way and rather than settling for either/or, Q-Symphony allows you to use them together. Samsung’s other smart speakers like the Music Studio 7 can also be linked up to the Q-Symphony to create a sort or surround sound experience.
I was very impressed with how immersive the audio was with Q-Symphony enabled, a good sign of perfected tech for me is always the speed that you forget the tech is there and I quickly forgot about it all and found myself fully immersed in the movie.
About half way through I turned the soundbar off and watched with just the speakers from the S95H. While it is amazing to have the soundbar and surround speakers it is in no way a dealbreaker as the speakers inside this TV sound brilliant.
Crystal clear audio with a surprising amount of bass. if I had to be nit-picky I wouldn’t mind a little bit more balance in the mids to high end,but honestly a lot of that comes from me being a pretentious headphone nerd.
Side quest — if audio quality is a big deal for you I also got to try out the Music Studio 7 Wireless Speaker. It is really nice, great balance, sleek design and really impressive clarity even at very high volumes. It also looks really pretty.

There are a few features on the Samsung S95H that stood out to me:
Vision AI – being able to ask questions about what is happening on the screen while still watching your content. You won’t use it a lot, but when you do it is surprisingly good. The Art Store – Samsung recently expanded the art store to a broader range of their TVs and it really does look exquisite. It’s a great way to have your TV be more than just a big black rectangle on the wall when not in use. One UI Tizen OS – it’s the best smart tv operating system. Smooth, easy to navigate, I’ll die on that hill. Samsung recently expended the art store to a broader range of their TVs and it really does look exquisite. Credit: Sonny Loudon/7You Final thoughts Look, the flagship model from a big brand is not going to be cheap and at $5299 RRP for the 65-inch model the S95H is definitely a significant investment.
In saying that though, what you get for the price is a TV packed with bleeding edge tech that is industry leading in performance. You also get seven years of platform upgrades so as new features are released you won’t fall behind.
Also, right now the S95H is on sale so you can pick up the 65-inch model for $4799.
Honestly if you are in the market for a new TV and are in a position to be looking at this price point I can highly recommend the Samsung S95H.
