This October, the foodie has turned her attention to bakeware and cookware, uniting with renowned brand GreenPan to launch a truly non-stick range of cookware and bakeware that’s guaranteed to shoot to the top of your Christmas list.

Comprising everything from ceramic non-stick frying pans to stockpots and bakeware sets, the collection is a one-stop-shop to the perfect kitchen essentials.

So how did Donna come up with the idea and why now?

Be the first to know:

“When the opportunity came about to design my perfect range of cookware and bakeware with GreenPan I jumped at the chance,” she tells 7You.

“Ceramic non-stick that’s PFAs free and in a light colour for better baking results? Sign me up.”

The collection has been two years in the making, and includes everything she had always wanted from pots, pans and bakeware:

“It’s about performance, durability and something that looks as stylish as it does on the cooktop to the table,” Donna says.

Every single piece has a PFAS-free ceramic non-stick coating, a thoughtful design that looks beautiful when served directly to the table and it’s all oven-safe too.

“I currently have my Strawberry Snacking Cake from my new Kids Baking book on repeat,” Donna says when asked what she’s making with the range.

“It’s so simple to make and whether I have strawberries, blueberries or raspberries, it’s always delicious. I can’t wait till summer peaches start arriving as they will be the next flavour addition.”

With sons and “plenty of boys to feed”, Donna says she has always leaned to large pots that can cater to big crowds.

“I tend to lean towards a fast, well-flavoured pasta — double batch of course — and this is possibly why my stainless steel stock pot is so generously tall,” she says.

“On high rotation is my Creamy Sundried Tomato Rigatoni — you can find the recipe on my website. It’s so simple and delicious.”

When it comes to Christmas, the acclaimed chef is currently testing a parmesan potato rosti recipe on her non-stick baking sheet.

“You heat the baking sheet in the oven then pile on rounds of the potato mixture – bake in the oven and you are done,” she says.

“Perfectly crunchy potato rosti ready to be topped with creme fraiche and smoked trout finished with a grating of lemon zest. All that’s left to do is pour the drinks!”

While the range is brand new, shoppers (myself included) are already raving about the quality. Credit: 7You Glowing reviews While the range is brand new, shoppers (myself included) are already raving about the quality.

“As a member of the GreenPan Kitchen team, I have tested this product and I am excited to share my review. WOW – I am super impressed with the quality and durability of this bakeware,” writes one reviewer.

“With three kids we do a lot of baking and these pans have passed the test! Plus, they look beautiful in my kitchen, a lot of compliments!”

Another adds: “Professional results at home.

“This professional grade cookware set is easy to recommend. The lucky part of working in a test kitchen like our GreenPan lab is we put our products through everyday use, just like you would at home.

“This new Stainless Steel collection we designed with Donna has all the thoughtful touches she wanted in a collection, plus a touch of glamour.

“This Stainless Steel set features premium stainless with an heat responsive aluminum core, our most advanced nonstick surface, long comfortable handles and beautiful accents.

“The performance from stovetop to oven is effortless, easy clean up and perfect results. I think my favorite part when testing this range was the searing performance. No hot spots, heat responsive and easy to control your cooking temperature.

“Donna thought of every detail: the looks, sizes of each pan, shapes, handle comfort and more. Our team is happy to report these pans performed perfectly with everyday recipes you would make at home. They deliver as well as they look.”

Aussies are increasingly informed and proactive about what they put into and onto their bodies, from washing food and checking ingredients to limiting exposure to plastics and chemicals via the pans they choose.

Alongside pans and plastics, now household water is coming under the microscope.

New independent research commissioned by Complete Home Filtration (CHF) reveals that while 58% of Australians wash their food, 51% check food ingredients, 30% actively try to limit their exposure to plastics and chemicals, and 27% check skincare ingredients, nearly 6 in 10 (57%) don’t feel they have control over what is flowing through their taps.

The data comes as CHF launches WaterWallTM, a first-of-its-kind whole-home water filtration system developed with funding support from the Defence Science Centre.

Mandy Sacher, Paediatric Nutritionist and Child Nutrition & Wellbeing Expert said: “Understanding what we put into our bodies and the chemicals we encounter every day is an important issue for Australian families.

“From ingredients in food and skincare to household products, microplastics and PFAS, there is a lot for families to navigate. Research is helping us understand the potential combined effects of exposure to certain chemicals, highlighting why we need to consider exposure across food, water and our wider environment.

“Some environmental exposures are beyond our control, but Australians do have choices when it comes to the water they drink and cook with. While we can generally have confidence in the safety of our tap water, clear information about our local supply and the options available helps us make informed decisions. With informed choice comes empowerment, giving families practical ways to take a more proactive role in their wellbeing.”
