A man has died in a horror workplace accident at a quarry in Brisbane’s south.
The man was working at a quarry on West Mount Cotton Rd in Sheldon when he is believed to have been crushed by a forklift.
Emergency services rushed to the scene about 2.20pm on Monday, with multiple paramedics treating the man for life-threatening injuries.

However, a Resources Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) confirmed the man succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the scene.
“RSHQ has confirmed it is investigating a fatal forklift incident that occurred at a quarry in Sheldon yesterday,” they said in a statement on Tuesday morning.
“Our thoughts are with the worker’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.
“Enquiries into the incident are underway. As this is an active investigation no further comment can be made at this time.”

The man was working at Allstar Infrastructure when he was reportedly crushed between two trucks.
Both incidents are now being investigated by Queensland Work Health and Safety watchdog.
