CONCORD, MI – People who attended a sand volleyball tournament in Concord were possibly exposed to the novel coronavirus, Jackson County health officials said.

The tournament happened Sunday, July 26, at Gottschalk Park, 420 Homer Road, the Jackson County Health Department reports. People who attended the event or had close contact of more than 15 minutes with someone who attended it were potentially exposed to COVID-19, officials said.

Exposure to the coronavirus could have happened at the event or in the days after during close contact with someone who was there, officials said. Symptoms typically appear in two to 14 days.

Common symptoms include fever, cough and shortness of breath. Headaches, stomach issues, as well as lose of taste and smell are less common symptoms.
